Statistics Tracking
Pixel Homes tracks 3 main stats for the sellers. The first is how many times a listing is clicked on for detail views. This is tracked because not only can a seller see what listings are being looked at, this info also tells them what are the most popular listings they have, and maybe these should be the ones to keep an eye on and watch for.
The next stat is the results views. This shows the seller how many times their listings are showing up in search results. This stat is important as it is needed for the final stat.
The Exposure Click Rate (ECR) is a stat that shows the seller how efficient their exposure is on your website. It compares the seller's total listing exposure to viewers with how many times a listing is actually clicked on for details. With big realestate sites like realtor.com, it is difficult to compare traffic with them if you are running a local portal. Sellers want to know what kind of traffic they can get compared to these bigger guys. There is no comparison, the bigger sites will have huge traffic compared to you, it is impossible to compete with that. However, if you break down the numbers of, for example, realtor.com, if they averaged an ECR of 2% to 10%. With your site, maybe sellers average an ECR of 20% to 30%. If you are paying $1200/month from the big guys, and just $150 with your site, and your ECR is higher, what is the better value for your advertising dollar?
